The nature of our programme recovery (working with $10M – over $200M projects) is highly sensitive so we’re unable to publish case studies as such. However, we detail the process involved in an actual project below to give an indication of the breadth and depth of our approach.

Project: Restoring a programme

Phase one:

ASSESSMENT

Assessment of structure, governance, planning, management and business outcome alignment.

This review centred on documentation reviews supported by interviews with key personnel and stakeholders. The focus was on key risk and business outcomes based on the programme approach, structure, governance and wider delivery plan.

Phase two:

IN-DEPTH REVIEW

In-depth technical design review of the solution and adherence to delivery method.

This assessed whether the technical solution and delivery method were the best fit to create the desired business benefits. It identified areas to address without impacting business outcomes, also highlighting areas that could not be changed without a fundamental rework of the full solution.

Phase three:

OPTIONS

Assessment of commercial and legal aspects, risk, planning, control and quality management.

The third phase focused on documentation reviews and in-depth analysis of the actual work undertaken in the areas named above.

Phase four:

PLANNING

Based on the assessments, a plan and approach were developed to enable the original business outcomes to be achieved.

We restructured the programme, negotiated the contract with an international vendor and ensured all parties came together to bring the programme back to success.
